Jump out of bed and into your clothes. It's time for PLAY.
Fly to the table, break-fast and run.
It's great to be awake and I am ready for FUN.
We will defeat the dastardly dishes invading the sink
That mountain of laundry can be scaled in a wink.
TODAY is shiny, bright and new.
There are so many wonderful things to do!
In the backyard we may find an adventure
We could be pirates burying our treasure
We could be sailors in a cardboard box
We could be in a forest hunting the fox
With blank paper and crayons we will create
Strange lands and ideas to navigate
Then we can get scissors and glue
and make animals, costumes and cards too
In your room the dolls can march a parade
We can build a great castle and palisade
After we're done, I must confess
We will need time to clean up the mess.
But we could be wizards casting a spell
We played all day and no one could TELL!
